At Swalcliffe, we think differently about how to improve the ‘Quality of Life’ of our students and their families.
All students have an ASD diagnosis, are of a broadly average ability and have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
We believe that referrals to the school should involve a partnership with families and Local Authorities, to ensure that the school meets the needs of prospective students.
We are currently working with approximately 20 Local Authorities offering places on a day or two weekly boarding basis. Admissions to the school are made throughout the school year and at all ages.
We appreciate how difficult the transition into school can be. That’s why we recognise the need for the process to be planned sensitively and thoroughly. The time frame for the admissions process depends on several factors including:
– the quality and quantity of referral information
– the number of students awaiting assessment
– the availability of places and the time of year
We offer opportunities for prospective students and their families to visit the school, so if this is of interest please contact Kiran Hingorani, Chief Executive Officer on [email protected] or complete the enquiries form available on this website.
