Outdoor Curriculum

Survival Skills lessons are part of our Outdoor Curriculum.

Students learn to safely make fires, to cook on an open fire, to boil water for hot drinks and to use knives safely. So far activities in Outdoor Curriculum have included building simple shelters and making fires, walking and orienteering both on and off site, practical First Aid, including CPR and administering bandages, and learning in the classroom about the basic physical requirements for survival and about fire safety.
