Headlines and Footnotes Autumn Term 2020: December Edition

Well, here we are at the end of a most unusual and thought-provoking year. It is encouraging to read that although we will be going into the holidays in different Covid tiers according to where we live, there is a light at the end of this tunnel with a vaccine, which will hopefully bring back a sense of normality to all our lives.

So…..in keeping with this note of optimism we have a fabulous range of stories and information to share with you in this edition of Headlines, which we hope will interest and inspire you.

We are sad that we can’t invite you to our end of term pantomime, Shrek the musical!

This is always a fabulous way to round off the year…but don’t panic because we will be sharing this with you via a link during the last week of term, so you can enjoy it together as a family when the mood and time suits…..and the snacks are on the table!

Football Shirt Friday

On the 20th November we took part in a nationwide event called “Football Shirt Friday”. The concept is that you wear your favourite football shirt to school or work and pay £1 to raise awareness and money for World Cup winner Bobby Moore’s Bowel Cancer Charity. ‘At the end of the day’ to coin a football phrase, we took a photo of everyone who took part, at the front of school. We raised a total of £100.

Thank you to everyone who took part.
