Coronavirus family briefing number 25 Wednesday June 24th 2020
Good afternoon from sunny Swalcliffe!
We hope you are well and able to enjoy this glorious sunshine while we continue to make our way through the second half of the term.
We are aware that there are now three full weeks left for the boys this term and there is still much to do.
Timetables: We have our ‘Pathways’ planning process to kick start and will be providing you with information on this next week.
We are currently finalising the booklet you will receive which contains curriculum choices for those boys who will be in KS 4 and
Sixth Form from September. More details will follow on how the process will work remotely this year and how you will be able to
contact relevant staff to ask any questions you may have.
Exam results: Some of you will be eagerly be waiting for exam results to be available during the holiday. Please see the attached
letter which explains how the process of will work and when the information will be available. If you have any questions in relation
to the content please contact Andy Sears on email@example.com or Dean Moulder on firstname.lastname@example.org
Next three weeks: Following the Government announcement yesterday of the relaxation of the lockdown rules and guidance, we are
now making plans for the final three weeks of term. The next two weeks starting on Monday 29th June and Monday 6th July will run with
the Week 1 and Week 2 groups as they have done since half term. If there is anyone who has not been in school yet and who
would like to be added to either group, please do contact us so we can arrange this, on email@example.com
We are also planning to be open for all students, during the final week of term (for boys), beginning Monday 13th July. This will be an
activities-based week with more details being available in the next edition of Headlines which will be coming out on Monday 6th July.
Please note that as all staff will be engaged is supporting boys in school that week, we will not be running any home-based learning
Leavers: As part of our final week of term we will be arranging a celebration for our leavers to congratulate them on all they have achieved
during their time at SPS and to wish them well for the future. We are currently in the very early stages of planning and will be providing more
details in Headlines and through personal invitations.
Health Care Manager: I am delighted to be able to introduce you to Chrissy Stevenson, our new Health Care Manager. If you would like to
contact her and say hello she is available on firstname.lastname@example.org
Headlines: In addition to arrangements for the final weeks of term, the next edition will also contain information about additions to staff and
changes to the site which are currently taking place. If any families have any messages or information they would like to be included please
just let me know on email@example.com
