FW: Coronavirus family briefing number 15: 17.30 Thursday 16th April 2020
We hope that you have managed to enjoy the Easter holiday, despite the obvious restrictions on all our movements and hope the lovely sunshine made life slightly easier.
The summer term is due to start next week and we know that many of you will be keen for your boys to return to school for a number of reasons, not least to get back to normal daily and weekly routines. We are very much looking forward to seeing all boys and families again but need to make sure that we are working as safely as possible and within the guidelines and spirit the Government and the National Association of Special Schools (NASS) are advising.
Today’s Government briefing talked about continuing the current arrangements for a further period and we will be following this advice. So with this in mind, I am sure it will come as no surprise that we will start the new term in the same way that we ended the Spring Term, with lessons and activities online. We will then review the situation again this time next week and decide how we move forward for the following week. We will of course keep you fully informed. School will also be in touch with your local authority tomorrow to let them know the arrangements for next week.
As we stated in one of our briefing notes before Easter, we will be sending out ‘End of Term’ reports for the Spring Term on Friday 24th April.
Attached to this briefing note you will also find the next edition of Nikki and Lucy’s wellbeing update, which we hope you find useful. firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com.
We would like to thank you all in advance for your continued support with our approach and thinking and hope that you are all safe and healthy. As ever, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us in the usual way.
Kiran, Rob and Rob.
