Ethos

The ethos of the school is very much creating a caring and supportive environment for learning where the staff are willing to go the extra mile for the boys.

Boys who are not coping in mainstream are given a fresh opportunity to thrive both academically and emotionally.

We have a code of conduct:

  • To treat each other as we would like to be treated
  • To increase self-esteem and confidence through positive involvement and achievement
  • To speak to people appropriately and not to verbally abuse or wind up anyone
  • To allow everyone their personal space
  • To leave other people’s belongings alone
  • To be in the right place at the right time
  • To interact appropriately and not to play fight
  • To avoid any involvement in the use of illegal and/or dangerous substances
  • To treat all people with respect, avoid racial abuse/harassment and sexist comments
  • To treat all people with respect, do not verbally bully, do not emotionally bully and do not physically bully
